Shining a light on Nordic theatre makers and culture, the New Nordics Festival brought together five days of the best new plays from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands – both in person and streamed globally.

Presented by Cut the Cord, the festival worked with emerging UK-based theatre-makers and the Nordic Embassies to explore what Nordic theatre was and how it could enrich UK theatre. Each day of the festival featured a play from a Nordic country as well as Q&As with the Nordic playwrights and artistic teams. The festival also included workshops, online talks, and discussions.
